The current market for powder-free gloves is showing an upward trend. Gloves manufacturers are expected to produce quality powder-free natural and synthetic latex gloves totally on-line. With years of research and development, Budget Champ moves ahead with the introduction of CTF-3B as an anti-tacking compound for use in the coagulant tank. CTF-3B contains ingredients to totally replace calcium carbonate and enable glove manufacturers to produce on-line powder-free gloves.

CTF-3B is very user-friendly. The elimination of calcium carbonate gives a cleaner working environment. Apart from calcium nitrate, there is no need to add other chemicals into the coagulant tank. CTF-3B is formulated with wetting agents and other stabilizers, and has been proven to reduce pin-holes in gloves. CTF-3B can be easily cleaned using alkaline former cleaner.

Recommended operating conditions

1. Concentration : 2 - 3% active CTF-3B for natural rubber, or Calcium nitrate – as per normal operating concentration.
But manufacturers should adjust the dosage according to their compounding and operating conditions. If additional wetting is required, use non-ionic wetting agent.
2. Temperature of coagulant : 50 – 55OC.
3. Coagulant preparation
- Pre-disperse CTF-3B in water at a 1 : 1 ratio. Stir well and leave for 3 hours.
- Add in Calcium Nitrate solution (adjust to pH 7 with ammonia solution) and stir. For best results, allow 12 hours before dipping.
- Warm up coagulant to 50 – 55OC to eliminate any air-bubbles and foam.
